Prof. Ludger Hovestadt (卢德格尔·霍夫斯塔特)

Ludger Hovestadt is Professor (part-time) of Architecture Internationalization Demonstration at Southeast University and Professor for Computer-Aided Architectural Design (CAAD) at the Institute for Technology in Architecture, ETH Zurich. He studied architecture at RWTH Aachen and the HfG Vienna, and completed his doctorate at TU Karlsruhe and Carnegie Mellon in 1994, laying the foundations for digital architectonics. In 2000 he was appointed Full Professor at the Department of Architecture at ETH Zurich; since 2018 he has been a Visiting Professor at Southeast University. Working at the borderline of calculability, he brings complex information technology into architecture. His major publications include ‘Beyond the Grid’ (2009), ‘Eigenarchitecture’ (2014), ‘A Quantum City’ (2015) and ‘Atlas of Digital Architecture’ (2020).

卢德格尔·霍夫斯塔特(Ludger Hovestadt),东南大学建筑国际化示范学院兼职教授,瑞士苏黎世联邦理工学院(ETH Zurich)建筑技术研究所计算机辅助建筑设计(CAAD)教授。先后就读于德国亚琛工业大学与奥地利维也纳应用艺术大学,1994年在卡尔斯鲁厄大学与卡内基梅隆大学完成博士论文,奠定了数字建构学的思想基础。2000年受聘为苏黎世联邦理工学院建筑系教授,2018年起任东南大学客座教授。其研究处于可计算性的边界,致力于将复杂信息技术引入建筑学。主要著作包括《Beyond the Grid》(2009)、《Eigenarchitecture》(2014)、《A Quantum City》(2015)与《Atlas of Digital Architecture》(2020)。
